A signing, a series on sale, and a title announcement

So I am doing my very first in-person reader event at Novel Grounds, a romance book in Chesapeake, Virginia, on October 12. You can reserve a ticket here, and the price includes a print copy of Bad Reputation—which I will happily sign for you.

Until now, I haven’t done any signings because I didn’t feel like a “real” author. I still don’t, to be honest. But I’m trying to fake it until I make it and to be more confident about promo. (Is my confession adding or detracting from the effect?) It would certainly help me own it if someone shows up for this event. So I would love, love, LOVE to see you there.

Next, I’ve been mainlining political news like it’s my job the last month. Since I figured I wasn’t the only one, I put the entire Political Persuasions series on sale. For the first week of August, you can get all three books plus the novella collection for just $0.99 each at Amazon.

So to recap, we have:

• The One You Want: an opposites-attract, workplace romance
• The One You Need: a friends-to-lovers, scandal romance

This is either exactly what you want to read right now given current events, or it is the polar opposite of what you want to read right now given current events. There is no middle ground. But if you need some hope and some politics because you can’t not think about it, I’ve got you.

And finally, the book previously known as Sexy Chess finally has a real title: BOLD MOVES. It’s absolutely perfect for the book, and I couldn’t be happier about it. It still doesn’t have a release date, though if I were a betting woman, I would guess it will drop sometime in summer 2025.

Bold Moves is a second-chance romance about the bad girl of the chess world adapting her memoir into a streaming show with the help of her ex, the man who’s never gotten over her. It’s a massive, angsty hulk of a book, and I’m in the process of trying to wrestle it into submission. The odds are even as to who will win, but this one feels so very worth the effort.
